Cranberries are a beautiful staple of the fall season. Whether they are being used as table decor, are cooked into delicious breads and cakes, or served as the secret ingredient in a refreshing cocktail, these little fruits pack a punch! Mix up your cocktail routine with today’s Cranberry Vodka Spritzer, a fall favorite!
For this recipe, you will create a cranberry simple syrup and combine it with your cocktail recipe.
What you will need for the simple syrup:
- 1 and a ½ cups fresh cranberries (check out your local farmer’s market for the most delicious ones!)
- 1 and a ½ cup water
- ½ cup of organic raw agave
- A dash of lime juice
Directions for the simple syrup:
- In a small pot, combine your cranberries, water, and agave. Heat the mixture to a boil, and then let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from heat and use a potato masher or muddler to squish the cranberries. Let cool.
- Strain the syrup into a bowl. Hint: to get the most syrup out, make sure to press firmly on the cranberries.
- Put in the fridge until you are ready to use.
What you will need for the cocktail:
- Ice
- ½ cup of your simple syrup
- 2 ounces of Green Hope Cane Vodka
- A dash of lime juice
- Club soda
Directions for the cocktail:
Fill a glass with your ice and pour in the simple syrup, vodka, and lime juice. Top with your club soda. Garnish with fresh cranberries or a lime wedge.
